Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
December 18, 2013 - July 17, 2014
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: The study was performed in accordance with OECD guideline 105. The analytical method and the nominal concentrations were not in agreement with the guideline but these are well documented in the study report.

Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
(1995)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
No preliminary test was performed.

The factor of saturation (concentration nominal/concentration analysed) was < 5: the water solubility of 48.5 wt% is at approximate at the same level as the nominal concentrations of 50 -53 wt%. From this it was assumed that the actual water solubility might be higher than as was measured during this study.

The analytical method, i.e. refractive index measurements, is not substance specific. The influence of (good soluble) impurities cannot be excluded. The obtained result should therefore be interpreted as an estimated value for the water solubility of the substance.
GLP compliance:
no

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
In a OECD 105 guideline study using the flask method followed by refractive index measurements, the water solubility at 20°C of the substance was estimated to be ≥485 g/L. The pH of the aqueous phase was 5.5.
