Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General Information:
in case of doubt or persistent symptoms, consult always a physician.
After inhalation:
Stop breathing and remove to fresh air out of the contaminated area. Remove from exposure, if possible in fresh air and lie doxn the victim. Get medical attention if needed.
After skin contact:
In case of contact, remove all contaminated or spattered clothing. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Get medical attention if needed.
After eye contact:
wash eyes immediately with running water for at least 15 minutes while eyelids open.
Get medical attention, if irritation continues.
After swallowing:
Wash out the mouth with water if the victim is conscious. Get medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
powder, carbon dioxide, physical foam, water spray.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
can decompose under effect of heat with emission of toxic and corrosive fumes including: nitrogen oxides, carbon oxides.
Advice for firefighters:
Any self-contained breathing apparatus Port insulated breathing apparatus and fire retardant approved protective clothing.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
jet of water from a fire hose.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Act by means of individual protection equipment.
Mark out with beacons the contaminated area.
Evacuate people staying in the hazardous area.
Environmental precautions:
Avoid release to the environment.
Do not empty into drains.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up.
RECOVERY/
recover the product by humidification and sweeping or by exhaustion.
avoid formation of dust.
recover wastes in an appropriate labelled container for later disposal, according to regulation.
wash the contaminated soil with plenty of water and collect waste water for disposal.
DISPOSAL:
destroy the product by incineration in an authorizeed area.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
do not breathe dust.
perform all operations with due care.
fine dust dispersed in air may ignite
Technical conditions:
dust-exhausting system
prevent buid-up of electrostatic charges (e.g. by grounding).
STORAGE
conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
keep away from moisture. keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place. Prevent from static electricity by grounding apparatus.
technical condition: store in the original sealed packaging
storage condition: storre in a dry, cool andwell-ventilated place.
packaging/tank material: made of the same material as the supply container.
