Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- After inhalation:
Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
- After skin contact:
Wash off with soap and water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
- After eye contact:
Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If eye irritation or redness persists, see an ophthalmologist.
- After swallowing:
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse out mouth and give water in small sips to drink. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing agents:
dry powder, water spray, foam
- Special hazards:
In the event of fire the following may be released:
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
HCN: Hydrogen cyanide (hydrocyanic acid)
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information
Contain the spread of the fire-fighting media.
Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses
Accidental release measures
- Personal Precautions
Avoid contact with spilled product or contaminated surfaces.
Use personal protective equipment.
- Environmental Precautions
Do not allow to get into surface water, drains and ground water.
-Methods for cleaning up:
Use mechanical handling equipment.Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations.
Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Manufacture and use takes place under strictly controlled conditions. The substance is rigorously contained (production, use), appropriate risk management measures are applied and a management system is in place. An authorisation scheme covers the process and a procedure ensures that only trained and authorised persons handle the substance. Process procedures for containment during cleaning and maintenance have been accounted for in plant and engineering design as appropriate for the site. Procedures to ensure containment have been applied for all stages of production and processing. Occupational procedures have been assessed and are documented.
Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge.
Store in original containers.
Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Manufacture and use takes place under strictly controlled conditions. The substance is rigorously contained (production, use),
appropriate risk management measures are applied and a management system is in place. An authorisation scheme covers the process
and a procedure ensures that only trained and authorised persons handle the substance. Process procedere for containment during cleaning and maintenance have been accounted for in plant and engineering design as appropriate for the site. Procedures to ensure containment have been
applied for all stages of production and processing. Occupational procedures have been assessed and are documented.
Personal precautions while handling the product:
- respiratory protection:
If product is handled while not enclosed and if contact may occur:
Respirator with combination filter for vapour/particulate (EN 141).
- hand protection:
Use nitrile rubber gloves ( penetration time > 480 minutes )
- eye protection:
Tightly fitting safety goggles
-skin and body protection:
Lightweight protective clothing
Stability and reactivity
-Thermal decomposition: > 400 °C
No hazardous reactions when stored and handled according to prescribed instructions.
Disposal considerations
During the whole life cycle of the substance in accordance to art. 18(4) of (EC) 1907/2006 are undertaken.
The substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions.
Waste air from the process is being burnt.
Solvents, mother liquors, solid or aqueous waste is being burnt.
