Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Instantly remove any clothing soiled by the product. Personal protection for the First Aider. Call a doctor immediately.
After inhalation: Supply fresh air or oxygen; call for doctor.
Use a respiration bag or breathing device. In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.
After skin contact: Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Seek medical treatment.
After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for at least 15 minutes under running water. Then consult doctor.
After swallowing: Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Get medical attentions.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: Fire-extinguishing powder, Foam, Dry sand, CO2
For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with a full water jet.
Special hazards caused by the material, its products of combustion or resulting gases: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.
Protective equipment: Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases. Wear full protective suit. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Person-related safety precautions:
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Keep away from ignition sources.
Measures for environmental protection:
Prevent material from reaching sewage system, holes and cellars. Prevent from spreading (e.g. by damming-in or oil barriers). Keep dirty washing water for appropriate disposal.
Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Absorb with liquid-binding non combustible material (e.g. sand). Send for recovery or disposal in suitable containers. Dispose of contaminated material as waste (see below). Ensure adequate ventilation.
Handling and storage
Handling
Information for safe handling:
Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Prevent formation of aerosols.
Information about protection against explosions and fires: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
Storage
Requirements to be met by storerooms and containers: Keep container tightly closed in a cool and dry place. Storehouses and workplaces must be sufficiently ventilated.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from foodstuffs. Do not store together with alkalis (caustic solutions).
Further information about storage conditions: Protect from humidity and keep away from water.

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective and hygienic measures: Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and food. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Clean skin thoroughly immediately after handling the product. Ensure that washing facilities are available in the work place. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Do not inhale gases / fumes / aerosols.
Breathing equipment: In case of brief exposure or low pollution use breathing filter apparatus. In case of intensive or longer exposure use breathing apparatus that is independent of circulating air.
Protection of hands: The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/ the chemical mixture. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.
Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
Eye protection: Tightly sealed safety glasses.
Body protection: Light weight protective clothing. Boots, Apron
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
Materials to be avoided: strong bases
Dangerous reactions: No dangerous reactions known.
Dangerous products of decomposition: No dangerous decomposition products known.
Disposal considerations
Remove according to local authority recommendations, e.g. convey to a licensed incinerator.
European waste catalogue: 16 05 08 (discarded organic chemicals consisting of or containing dangerous substances)
Recommended cleaning agent: Water, if necessary with cleaning agent.
