Description of key information

EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC, A.10 "Flammability (solids)" (1992)

ADK STAB NA-11 could be ignited, it burned with a bright yellow flame and turned black in contact with the ignition source. No propagation throughout the test substance pile was observed. After removal of the ignition source, the flame extinguished immediately.

ADK STAB NA-11 is not flammable according to the criteria of the directive EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC.

EEC directive 92/69 EEC, A.12 "Flammability (contact with water) (1992)

Statement based on chemical structure of the test material and experience in handling: ADK STAB NA-11 does not contain groups that might lead to evolution of highly flammable gases in dangerous quantities. Furthermore, no metals, transition metals, boron or silicon are present. It is non flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

In addition to the study result (EU Method A.10) and the consideration of the chemical structure experience in handling shows that the test material is neither pyrophoric nor flammable on contact with water. ADK STAB NA-11 is known to be water-soluble.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the chemical structure, experience in handling and the study results it can be concluded that the test substance is incapable of developing a dangerous amount of (flammable) gas in contact with air, damp air or water.

ADK STAB NA-11 necessitates no classification according to REGULATION (EC) 1272/2008.
