Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
> 350 °C

Any other information on results incl. tables

Polyethylene oxide used as a control sample in this case as it has a clear endothermic peak, due to

melting. The peak is clearly visible from around 70C . In comparison the AES shows a static line with no activity,

indicating that below 350C , these fibres are not melting.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
AES fibres show a static line indicating that below 350C there is no melting.
