Additional information

The water solubility of Epoxy half acrylate was determined according to OECD Guideline 105 and EU method A.6 using the flask method, as solubility, measured as DOC (dissolved organic carbon), was higher than 10 mg/L when employing the flask method. Six vessels were prepared, nominal concentrations ranged from 100 - 180 mg/L in order to detect dependency of the solubility on the nominal concentration (which is not unusual for mixtures). The replicates showed poor correspondence: standard deviation of all flasks was 5.87 mg/L, corresponding to a relative standard deviation of 39.7%. The concentration of the test item in water lay in the range of 10.13 and 25.99 mg/L for the nominal concentrations 100 - 180 mg/L. Strong dependency of solubility on the added amount of the test item was observed: plotting DOC against nominal concentration showed a coefficient of determination r² of 0.944. Therefore, the water solubility of the test item cannot be stated as fixed value. No observations arousing doubts concerning the accuracy of the results and the validity of the study were made.
