Description of key information

Short-term toxicity tests are available for three trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and aquatic plants). The 48-hour LC50 in zebrafish is 450 mg/L, the 48-hour EC50 for immobilization of Daphnia magna is greater than >100 mg/L. The 7-day ErC50 and ErC10 in Duckweed (Lemna gibba) was found be >100 mg/L, respectively. In an activated sludge respiration inhibition test the EC50 was determined to be >340 mg/L. L(E)C50 from each of the three trophic levels reported >100mg /l. Hence based on these results the test substance FAT 36034 can be regarded as not toxic to aquatic species.
