Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A toxicity to aquatic algae study (Lane, 1987) is available of limited balidity as it does not follow current gu0idelines and is non-GLP. Effect concentrations were based on cells counted at the end of the test instead of calculating percentage of reduction of growth rates over a time interval. For the prupose of this dossier, calculations were performed with the individual data present in the report to generate effect concentrations on growth rate.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
0.086 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
0.046 mg/L

Additional information

Based on the detailed data including absorption measurements and microscopic cell counting, it was possible to calculate the growth rates for the 24 -96 h time interval. The table below shows the average data per test concentration and the percentages of growth rate reduction for the 24 -96 h interval. The key values are based on these additional calculations.
