Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A study with sediment organisms is not triggered as the Koc of Triallyl cyanurate is below <500 L/kg.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to chapter R.7b of ‘Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment’ (ECHA, 2008), substances with a Koc < 500 – 1000 L/kg are not likely sorbed to sediment. Therefore, sediment represents no target compartment due to the low adsorption potential of the test substance. The PNEC sediment is calculated for sake of completeness based on the PNEC aquatic using the equilibrium partitioning method as recommended in chapter R.10 of ‘Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment’ (ECHA, 2008).

Furthermore, according to Annnex X of the Reach regulation long-term toxicity testing shall be proposed of the results of the chemical safety assessment indicate the need to inverstigate further the effects of the substance on sediment organisms. As the safety assement indicates RCR value below 1, testing on sediment organisms is not necessary.
