It consists predominantly of satd. and unsatd. fatty acids methyl esters having carbon numbers greater than C20, dimerization products, and wax esters and boils at > 200°C (392°F) at 10 torr.

The acute toxicity of Fatty acids, C6 -C24 and C6-24-unsatd., Me esters, distn. Residues to Golden orfes was determined according to the German standard method for the examination of water, waste water and sludge; bioassays (group L); determination of the effect of substances in water on fish - fish-test (L 15). This method corresponds to the OECD-Guideline 203. The product was tested in a concentration range of 1 to 10000 mg product/ 1 (nominal). The incubation period was 48 hours under static conditions (the test-solutions were not renewed).
