Description of key information

The distribution coefficient koc was calculated with the program KOCWIN v.2.00 to be 1.5. Trimethylolpropane has a low adsorption potential to soil.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
1.5

Additional information

Key study

The distribution coefficient koc was calculated with the program KOCWIN v.2.00.

The Koc was calculated to be 1.5 using the experimental log kow of -0.47.

Reference: Schweitzer, 2010

Further study

A koc-value of 1 was calculated by using the computer program PCKOCWIN, v.1.66. As the used kow was not reported, the reliability may not be assigned.
