Fire-fighting measures

Fire:

Not considered to be a fire hazard.

Explosion:

Not considered to be an explosion hazard.

Fire Extinguishing Media:

Use any means suitable for extinguishing surrounding fire.

Special Information:

In the event of a fire, wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus with full facepiece operated in the pressure demand or other positive pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Ventilate area of leak or spill. Keep unnecessary and unprotected people away from area of spill. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Spills: Sweep up and place in a suitable container for reclamation or disposal, using a method that does nor generate dust. Vacuuming or wet sweeping may be used to avoid dust dispersal.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Avoid eye contact. When using do not eat or drink.

Engineering Controls:

When using product, provide local and general exhaust ventilation. Use wet methods, if appropriate, to reduce the generation of dust.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Eye protection: Wear approved eye protection (properly fitted dust- or splash-proof chemical safety goggles).

Skin and Body Protection: Wear suitable protective clothing, as may appropriate.

Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable, properly fitted respiratory equipment.

General Hygiene Considerations: Handle according to established industrial hygiene and safety practices.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable under normal storage conditions.

Incompatible Materials: Not available.

Hazardous Decomposition Products: None

Hazardous Polymerization: Does not occur.

Corrosivity to Metals: The FBC Ash, itself - particularly if moist or wet - or solutions that are or have been in contact with FBC Ash may be corrosive to metals.

Disposal considerations

Dispose of in a landfill or coal ash disposal pond. Observe local and state regulations.
