Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION
- Method: due to the limited water solubility of the product, containing sparingly soluble components, a water accommodated fraction (WAF) was prepared according to OECD guidence documet No. 23. A dispersion of 100 mg/L was prepared by mixing 700.3 mg of the test item into 7000 ml of test water. The dispersion was stirred in the dark for 3 hours. After the stirring period of 3 hours, the dispersion was filtered through a membrane filter

- Length at study initiation: 3.0 ± 0.2 cm
- Weight at study initiation: 0.37 ± 0.03 g
- Feeding during test: none

ACCLIMATION
- Acclimation period: one week
- Acclimation conditions: same as test
- Type and amount of food: commercial fish diet (Tetra Min® Hauptfutter, supplied by TETRA-Werke, 49304 Melle; Germany)

The test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to fish.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study on the acute toxicity of the substance to fish are available. The test system was set up according to OECD guideline 203 (RCC Ltd, 2007). Danio rerio were exposed to the substance for 96 hours in a static test system. At test termination no effects were observed up to the limit of water solubility (at a nominal loading rate of 100 mg/l).
