Administrative data
First-aid measures
· General information: Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours
after the accident.
· After inhalation: Supply fresh air and to be sure call for a doctor. If there is difficulty in breathing, give oxygen. In case of apnoea initiate artificial respiration. In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.
· After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
· After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor. Protect unharmed eye.
· After swallowing: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air. Call a doctor immediately.
· Information for doctor: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
· Suitable extinguishing agents: The product is not flammable. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
· Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: During heating or in case of fire poisonous gases are produced. In case of fire, the following can be released: Toxic metal oxide smoke.
· Advice for firefighters
· Protective equipment: Wear fully protective equipment. Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.
· Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
· Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear protective clothing. Avoid formation of dust. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
· Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
· Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Pick up mechanically. Avoid formation of dust. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.
Handling and storage
· Handling:
· Precautions for safe handling: For precautionary reasons, protective clothing is recommended. Prevent formation of dust. Provide suction extractors if dust is formed. Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. For precautionary reasons, ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Open and handle receptacle with care.
· Storage:
· Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store only in the original receptacle.
· Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from reducing agents. Do not store together with acids. Do not store together with alkalis (caustic solutions).
· Further information about storage conditions: Store receptacle in a well ventilated area. Store in dry conditions. Keep container tightly sealed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
- Additional information about design of technical facilities: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
- Personal protective equipment:
- General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. As a general protective measure, the use skin protection cream for skin protection is recommended. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Store protective clothing separately. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
- Respiratory protection: Recommended filter device for short term use during special procedures - Filter P2. Filter FFP2.
- Protection of hands: As a general protective measure, the use of protective gloves is recommended. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the substance. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.
- Material of gloves: Rubber, neoprene.
- Penetration time of glove material: Value for the permeation: Level ≥ 480 min. (EN374). The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
- Eye protection: As a general preventive measure, safety glasses are recommended.
- Body protection: As a general preventive measure, impervious protective clothing is recommended.
Stability and reactivity
- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
- Dangerous reactions: Reacts with strong acids.
- Dangerous decomposition products: Danger of forming toxic pyrolysis products.
Disposal considerations
· Waste treatment methods: This material and its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.
· Uncleaned packaging: Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
