The substance (DCDPS) was not shown to be readily biodegradable in a ready biodegradability test. A 100-day simulation test of two water-sediment systems showed that aerobic transformation in aquatic/sediment systems is not a major pathway of degradation of the substance, which increasingly migrates from the water column to the sediment layer over time.
