Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Relative self-ignition temperature:
>= 40 - <= 80 °C
Remarks on result:
other:
Remarks:
at atm. press. of ca.1013.0 hPa

The lowest applicable temperature above room temperature was 40 °C. At this temperature the sample heated up to 500 °C.

In larger packaging units, self-ignition can occur already at room temperature. This is only possible by adequate access to air and is safely prevented by airtight packaging according to experience. Should material leak out, only a relatively mild reaction can be expected at normal ambient temperatures, which is also slowed down by the plateau effect. In the presence of an open flame, the substance ignites immediately, but burns slowly with crust formation, likewise in a mild reaction with a barely visible flame.
