The biodegradation of the test substance has been examined in a modified Sturm Test according to guideline 84/449/EEC C.5 in compliance with GLP. Under the tested conditions, the substance has been shown to be biodegradable, but not readily biodegradable.

The risk for the aquatic and terrestrial compartment is assessed in the chemical safety assessment and found to be acceptable, indicating that no further simulations or tests for biodegradation in sediment or soil are required.
