Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification
Classification related key information
Biodegradation in water: screening tests: 60% biodegradation in 28 days (OECD 301B).
Bioaccumulation: According to the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R7.c (ECHA, 2012), the potential for bioaccumulation can be estimated from the log Kow value of the substance as a screening approach. Generally, at log Kow values > 6 a decrease in BCF values is observed, probably caused by the reduced uptake with the expected increasing molecular size of such substances. Even though experimental data evaluating bioaccumulation for substances with log Kow > 10 (such as propane-1,2,3-triyl 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate) is not known, these substances are expected to have BCF values < 2000 L/kg (criterion used to consider a substance Bioaccumulative)(Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter 11 (ECHA, 2012).
Aquatic acute toxicity
No observed toxicological effects up to the limit of water solubility
Fish: Danio rerio LC50 (96 h) > 1.0 mg/mL (nominal), corresponding to 100% v/v (OECD 203)
Aquatic algae: Raphidocelis subcapitata ErC (72 h)> 0.0075 mg/L (OECD 201)
Aquatic chronic toxicity
No observed toxicological effects up to the limit of water solubility
Fish: Pimephales promelas NOEC (33 d) ≥0.081 mg/L (geometric mean measured concentrations) for all endpoints (OECD 210)
Aquatic invertebrates: Daphnia magna NOEC (21 d) 1.0 mg/L, corresponding to 100% v/v (OECD 211)
Aquatic algae: Raphidocelis subcapitata NOEC (72 h)≥ 0.0075 mg/L (geomtric mean measured concentrations; OECD 201)
CLP:
Propane-1,2,3-triyl 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate (CAS No. 56554-53-1) is readily biodegradable but failing the 10-day window. The bioaccumulation potential of the substance is considered to be low. The substance is considered to be not acutely or chronically toxic to aquatic organisms up to the limit of water solubility. The substance propane-1,2,3-triyl 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate (CAS No. 56554-53-1) is not classified for acute and long-term aquatic hazard according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and further amendments (ATPs).
