Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment
Administrative data
PBT assessment: overall result
- PBT status:
- the substance is not PBT / vPvB
- Justification:
PERSISTENCE ASSESSMENT
The registered substance is readily biodegradable in an OECD 301B and an OECD301D test. Therefore the 'P' criteria for the PBT / vPvB Assessment is not fulfilled.
BIOACCUMULATION ASSESSMENT
The registered substance has a log Kow of 2.8 at pH7 (see IUCLID Chapter 4.7 / CSR chapter 1.3.) and therefore the criteria for 'B' in the PBT /vPvB Assessment is not fulfilled.
Based on the Log Kow for the registered substance (see IUCLID Chapter 4.7/ CSR Chapter 1.3) and taking into account that it is readily biodegradable in an OECD 301B/D Screening test and rapidly biodegradable in aerobic soil and sediment, BCF for fish and worm were calculated with the US EPA BCF BAF Models (Regression as well as Arnot & Gobas approach, see IUCLID Chapter 5.3 / CSR chapter 4.3.). The BCF fish as well as the BCF worm were well below 2000 L/kg (see IUCLID Chapter 5.3 / CSR chapter 4.3).
TOXICITY ASSESSMENT
The lowest chronic ecotoxicity value to be used for classification (see Endpoint Summary IUCLID Chapter 6 / CSR chapter 7) is below the chronic toxicity criteria of 0.01 mg/L by using a mitigation factor of 10 in a bulk approach. In addition the registered substance fulfills also the criteria for chronic toxicity for human health. This means the 'T' criteria for the PBT / vPvB Assessment is fulfilled.
