Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
irritating symptoms develop and persist.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately rinse eyes under running water.
Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse skin immediately with copious amounts of water.
Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Consult a
physician if any symptoms develop.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Only as long as the patient is fully conscious: wash mouth
and have the victim drink copious amounts of water (often
vomiting will be induced). Consult a physician if feeling
sick and show the label.
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: Poisonous gases and vapours, carbon oxides and nitrogen oxid
es
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear light protective suit and adequate respiratory
protection against gases and vapours. Wear tightly fitting
safety goggles and nitrile/neoprene gloves.
Accidental release measures
not be released into sewers, drains or wells. Take up by
mechanical means and dispose.
Cleaning of equipment: Wash with plenty of water. Dispose
cleaning water in a safe way.
Handling and storage
dust. Observe the usual precautionary measures required for
preparations containing organic solvents. Observe the usual
precautionary measures required for chemicals with dust
explosive properties (observe national regulations).
Since the substance is a potential sensitiser, appropriate
protective equipment should be used:
Full face respirator or a positive-pressure supplied air
respirator (EN136).
Eye protection: Safety glasses according to EN166
Hand protection: Chemical resistant gloves (EN374/EN388)
Others: Tyvek classic protective suit or a full air-supplied
suit (EN340). Antistatic boots (EN345).
Storage: Store in a cool dry place. Keep container tightly closed.
Maximum storage temperature: 40 °C.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Bezanal will be imported in steel drums with double liners.
