Administrative data

First-aid measures

- General information: Take affected persons out of danger area and lay down.

- After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.

- After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.

- After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.

- After swallowing: Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist consult doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

- Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.

- Additional information: Cool endangered receptacles with water spray. Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

- Person-related safety precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear protective clothing. Avoid formation of dust. Keep away from ignition sources.

- Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

- Measures for cleaning/collecting: Pick up mechanically. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.

Handling and storage

HANDLING:

- Information for safe handling: Prevent formation of dust. Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

- Information about fire- and explosion protection: Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture. Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect against electrostatic charges.

STORAGE:

- Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store only in the original receptacle.

- Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from oxidizing agents.

- Further information about storage conditions: Store in dry conditions.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Not required.

- General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed. The

usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.

- Protection of hands: The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the

glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation
