Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Stability in air:

The AOP V 1.89 calculation model has been used to estimate the half-life of 11-aminoundecanoic acid in air due to indirect photolysis. Considering a concentration of sensitiser of 1000000 molecule OH /cm³ , the half-life is estimated to be 4.3 h.

Therefore, 11-aminoundecanoic acid is not expected to be persistent in the atmospheric compartment.

Stability in water:

No hydrolysis test has been performed because the substance is readily biodegradable. Therefore, 11-aminoundecanoic acid is not expected to be persistent in the aquatic compartment.

Degradation rate in water:

 77% after 19 days

Degradation rate in sediment:

No data since the substance is readily biodegradable in water. In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the biodegradation in water and sediment studies (required in sections 9.2.1.2 and 0.2.1.4) do not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable.

Degradation rate in soil:

No data since the substance is readily biodegradable in water. In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the biodegradation in soil study (required in section 9.2.1.3) does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable.

Degradation rate in air:

 50% after 4.3 h (indirect photolysis)
