Description of key information
The substance 3'-chloropropiophenone is 50% biodegradable in water in 38 d (half-life) indicating that 3'-chloropropiophenone is not persistentin water and hence readily biodegradable, as the half life is less than the threshold of 60 days (to qualify the chemical as persistent).

The half-life period of 3'-chloropropiophenone in water is 38 d and based on this value it can concluded that the substance is not persistent in water medium since the half-life is less than the threshold of 60 days (to qualify the chemical as persistent).
