Description of key information

Toxicity data are available in three trophic levels. the algae and fish appear to be the most sensitive species for the toxicity of di-n-butyl ether with the LC50/EC50s falling in the range of 10-100 mg/l. There appears to be some variability in toxicity to marine and freshwater fish, but it is unclear if there is a real difference or if this is an artifact of study design.
