First-aid measures

In case of inhalation:Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid.

In case of skin contact:Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.

In case of eyes contact:Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids. Get medical aid.

In case of ingestion:Get medical aid. Wash mouth out with water.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Thermal decomposition products or combustion: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.

Advice for fire-fighters: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:Wear approved respiratory protection, chemically compatible gloves and protective clothing. Wipe up spillage or collect spillage using a high efficiency vacuum cleaner. Prevent dispersion of dust. Place spillage in appropriately-labelled container for disposal.

Environmental Precautions: Collect spilled material insealed containers.

Methods for Containment and Cleaning up: Absorb spill with inert material, (e.g., dry sand or earth), then place into a chemical waste container. Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal container.

Handling and storage

Protective measures: Avoid breathing dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Advice on general occupational hygiene: Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in a cool, dry place. Store in a tightly closed container.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Eye/face protection       Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166.

Hand protection       Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves to prevent hand exposure.

Body protection       Wear appropriate chemical resistant clothing to prevent skin exposure.

Respiratory protection       Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Always use a NIOSH or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator when necessary.

Thermal hazards       Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.

Environmental exposure controls: Avoid disposing into drainage/sewer system or directly into the aquatic environment. Handling according to local regulations, Federal and official regulations.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.

Chemical stability: Avoid temperatures above 270°C.

Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition products or combustion: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods: Avoid disposing directly to the environment. According to local regulations, Federal and official regulations.

Product / Packaging disposal: If empty container retains product residues, all label precautions must be observed. Return for reuse or dispose according to national or local regulations.
