Description of key information

The ErC50(7d) for duckweed (Lemna gibba) was determined to be = > 100 mg/L (nominal).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for freshwater plants:
24.6 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of the test substance to aquatic plants was tested in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 221 using the duckweed Lemna gibba as test organisms (BASF SE 405237, 2011). In this study, the EC50 on the growth rate of the plants was determined to exceed 100 mg/L (nominal value, analytically verified). The EC10 value was determined to be 24.6 mg/L (nominal value, analytically verified). Hence, the test substance is considered to be "not harmful to aquatic plants".
