Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

1)Boiling point: 262°C (no information for atm. pressure)[SciFinder database; Reference : Hukusima, Yosiro; Nippon Kagaku Kaishi (1921-47) 1940, V61, P121-4 CAPLUS)]
2) Boiling point: 84°C (at 0.15 Torr) [SciFinder database; Reference : Woodward, Charles F.; US 2510164 1950 CAPLUS]
3) Boiling point: 270.3 ±13.0°C (at 760 Torr) [SciFinder database; Reference : Calculated using Advanced Chemistry Development (ACD/Labs) Software V11.02 (© 1994 -2013 ACD/Labs)]

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
262 °C

Additional information

In the SciFinder database the boiling point of the test substance is reported to be 262 °C (experimental value; Reference : Hukusima, Yosiro; Nippon Kagaku Kaishi (1921-47) 1940, V61, P121-4 CAPLUS). Further, the calculation with the program Advanced Chemistry Development (ACD/Labs) Software V11.02 (© 1994 -2013 ACD/Labs) is reported, resulting in a boiling point of 270.3±13.0 °C, which confirms this result. Therefore, 262 °C was taken as key value for chemical safety assessment.

In the same database an experimental boiling point of 84 °C at 0.15 Torr is reported, too (Reference : Woodward, Charles F.; US 2510164 1950 CAPLUS)
