Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The n-octanol/water partition coefficient (Kow ; also known as log P) is defined as the ratio of the equilibrium concentrations of a dissolved substance in a 2-phase system consisting of the largely immiscible solvents n-octanol and water.

Octanol/water partition coefficient, Log pow, of 4-nitro-o-xylene is found to be -0.154. Based on the results, the substance is not likely to bioaccumulate in food chain.
