First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
· General information:
Personal protection for the First Aider. Remove any clothing soiled by the product.
· After inhalation:
Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm. Consult doctor if symptoms persist. In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.
· After skin contact:
Wash with water and soap If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
· After eye contact:
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
· After swallowing:
Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Never give anything to the mouth of an unconscious person. Seek immediate medical advice. A person vomiting while laying on their back should be turned onto their side.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed No further relevant information available.
· Information for doctor: No specific therapy is known.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital functions).
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
· Suitable extinguishing agents:
Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions. CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
· For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents:
For this substance / mixture no limitations of extinguishing agents are given.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire. In case of fire, the following can be released:
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, Nitrogen oxides (NOx), Boron oxide
Advice for firefighters
· Protective equipment:
Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases. Wear fully protective suit. Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
· Additional information
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations. Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Ensure adequate ventilation Avoid formation of dust. Keep away from ignition sources. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Avoid contact with any product.
Environmental precautions:
Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water. Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil. Avoid release to the environment.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Pick up mechanically. Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles. Prevent formation of dust. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Reference to other sections
See Section 7 for information on safe handling.
See Section 8 for information on personal protection equipment.
See Section 13 for disposal information.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Keep receptacles tightly sealed. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Prevent formation of dust. Take note of emission threshold. Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed. Use appropriate industrial vacuum cleaners or central vacuum systems for dust removal. Wear suitable respiratory protective device when aerosols are formed.
Information about fire - and explosion protection:
Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect against electrostatic charges.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
· Storage
· Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.
· Information about storage in one common storage facility:
Store away from feed and foodstuffs. Store away from oxidising agents.
· Further information about storage conditions: Store receptacle in a well ventilated area.
· Storage class: 11 - Flammable solids

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters
· Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Observe general threshold limits for dust.
· Additional information: The lists valid during the making were used as basis.
·
Exposure controls
· Personal protective equipment:
· General protective and hygienic measures:
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Use skin protection cream for skin protection. Vacuum clean contaminated clothing. Do not blow or brush off contamination. Ensure that washing facilities are available at the work place. Provide eye bath.
· Respiratory protection: If vapours or aerosols occur wear suitable respiratory device.
· Protection of hands: chemicals resistant gloves. Softening of the callus when wearing air-impermeable gloves is possible. Check protective gloves prior to each use for their proper condition. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation If only a short-term loading of the glove material by splashes is expected, tricoted gloves with higher wearability for the better acceptance of the users are recommended. After use of gloves apply skin-cleaning agents and skin cosmetics.
· Material of gloves
Rubber gloves
Recommended thickness of the material: >= 0.2 mm
The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
· Penetration time of glove material
Breakthrough time >= 8 h
The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
· Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles
· Body protection: Boots, Apron, Use protective suit
Protective work clothing
Selection of protective clothing is subject to the specific kind of work and the corresponding risk potential.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability
Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications. To avoid thermal decomposition do not overheat.
Possibility of hazardous reactions
Reacts with strong oxidising agents. Dusty organic products are generally expected to have dust explosion ability.
Incompatible materials: Strong bases, strong acids
Hazardous decomposition products: If stored and handled properly: none known
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
