General Information

Name:
Self-classification of HALO SALT
Implementation:
EU
Remarks:
Self-classification is based on the experimental data of the target substance and the intrinsic properties of free chlorine and the decomposition products of the target substance in water solution. The substance is only marketed and used as water solutions and the available chlorine content ranges typically between 7.7 to 8.6 %. The water solution is strongly alkaline (pH 11 to 12). The intrinsic properties of the analogue chlorine bleaching agents have also been used for classification and labelling of this multi-constituent substance when relevant.
