Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

8 -2 FTI is a volatile substance and due to the strong aeration in the OECD 209 test it is very likely that a considerable amount of the test item will be stripped of the test system. As normally the test concentration is not monitored analytically the concentration of the test item of the test period is not known. It can be concluded from the test that no the sludge respiration rate was not inhibited at the nominal concentration of 10000 mg/L at the test start. It is important to know that in tests with aerobic and anaerobic sewage sludge as well as soil biodegradation no toxicity on microorganisms was observed at the test concentration.
