First-aid measures

General advice : In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible). First aiderneeds to protect himself. Move out of dangerous area. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately.

Inhalation : If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Keep patient warm and at rest. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

Skin contact : Do NOT use solvents or thinners. Immediate medical treatment is necessary as untreated wounds from corrosion of the skin heal slowly and with difficulty. Immediately flush skin with large amounts of water.

Eye contact : Protect unharmed eye. Small amounts splashed into eyes can cause irreversible tissue damage and blindness. If easy to do, remove contact lens, if worn. In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Ingestion : If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: seek medical adviceimmediately and show this container or label. If a person vomits

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : High volume water jet, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry chemical, Foam

Specific hazards : Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire. Hazardous decomposition products may be formed under fire conditions (see below). Exposure to decomposition products may be a hazard to health.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters : In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment.

Further information : Standard procedure for chemical fires. Use extinguishingmeasures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. In the event of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes. Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : Refer to protective measures listed in other sections. Use personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Avoid inhalation of vapour or mist.

Environmental precautions : Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities. Avoid release to the environment. Refer to special instructions/ Safety data sheets.

Methods for cleaning up : Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling : For personal protection see other section. Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Persons with a history of skin sensitisation problems or asthma, allergies, chronic or recurrent respiratory disease should not be employed in any process in which this mixture is being used.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion : Normal measures for preventive fire protection.

Dust explosion class : not applicable

Exposure controls / personal protection

Components with workplace control parameters Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.

Other information on limit values: other section

Engineering measures Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.

Personal protective equipment

Respiratory protection : In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Respirator with filter type ABEK

Hand protection

Material : Rubber gloves

Remarks : Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific to place of work. For special applications, we recommend clarifying the resistance to chemicals of the aforementioned protective gloves with the glove manufacturer.

Eye protection : Wear eye/face protection. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Skin and body protection : Wear suitable protective clothing. Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration

of the dangerous substance at the work place.

Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. General industrial hygiene practice. Avoid breathing vapors, mist or gas. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Follow the skin protection plan. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to avoid : Exposure to moisture. Reacts with water.

Materials to avoid : Water, Alkali metals, Alkaline earth metals, Strong oxidizing agents, Humid air

Hazardous decomposition products : Decomposes in contact with water., Possible decomposition products in case of hydrolysis are:, Hydrogen chloride gas In case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as:, Carbon oxides, Hydrogen fluoride

Hazardous reactions : Contact with water liberates hazardous gas.

Stability : No decomposition if stored and applied as directed. Hydrolysis

Disposal considerations

Advice on disposal and packaging : Disposal:In accordance with local and national regulations. Do not disposeof waste into sewer. This material and its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Waste codes should be assigned by the user based on the application for which the product was used.
