First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with plenty of water. Seek medical attention, if
irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and launder before re-use. Wash
affected area with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray and foam may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity. Wear suitable
protective clothing, see 2.3.1. Avoid dust formation by
damping down with water. Absorb spillages of solutions with
a suitable inert material (eg sand or soil). Carefully
transfer the spillage to suitably labelled waste containers,
or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine. Clean the
spillage area with water and detergent. Keep waste out of
sewers. Dispose of waste material by landfill or
incineration in accordance with local regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be handled under conditions of good
industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local
regulations. Engineering controls including local exhaust
ventilation should be used. Personal protective equipment
e.g. a dust mask (EN149 FFP1), chemical protective clothing
(EN368), chemical resistant gloves (prEN374) and eye
protection (prEN166) should be worn.
Storage: Store in sealed containers in a dry well-ventilated area.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Polyethylene film laminated bags.

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not
economically or technically feasible. In principle, it may
be possible to recover larger spillages of uncontaminated
material for subsequent use.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases
should be scrubbed to remove oxides of nitrogen and
