Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry chemical, carbon dioxide or foam.
Product arising from burning: Nitrogen and carbon oxides together with some soot may be
formed.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear ful protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Solids: Sweep up (wet powders with water) and place in
suitable containers for disposal)
Liquids: Adsorb using an adequate adsorbany (eg.kieselgur,
sand, sawdust, kieselgel), collect and place in suitable
containers for disposal.
Dispose of waste material in authorised incineration facilit
y.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance MDI/CHA/ODA serves as a thickening agent of
grease. Its synthesis occurs in situ in synthetic oil. As it
is not isolated but bounded in grease, the exposition does
not occur with MDI/CHA/ODA directly, but only with the
formed grease, in which it is incorporated.
Avoid skin and eye contact and wear safety goggles and
impermeable gloves. Further details for handling and
precautions for the grease are indicated in their respective
material safety data sheet.
Storage: The substance should be stored in well sealed and secure
containers in adequate rooms at room temperature. Avoid
residue outside the containers. Protect from light.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 16 Kg pail cans

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance is fully incorporated in the grease.
Therefore, no recovery/recycling method is known to the
manufacturer
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No applicable, no serious hazardous effects.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible. (A650)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal at an approved facility with waste gas treatment to
remove nitrogen oxides is possible. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
