Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
distribution modelling
Type of information:
calculation (if not (Q)SAR)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
accepted calculation method
Remarks:
This robust summary was given a reliability rating of 2, because the data are not measured values for the product listed, but are calculated for representative constituents.
Justification for type of information:
QSAR prediction: Full justifications for this QSAR prediction are presented in ‘Attached justification’, but in brief these are justified because:
- the results are obtained from a QSAR model whose scientific validity has been established;
- petroleum substances fall within the applicability domain of the QSAR model;
- results are adequate for the purposes of risk assessment;
- adequate and reliable documentation is provided.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The distribution of the substance in the environmental compartments, air, water, soil, and sediment, has been calculated using the PETRORISK Model, version 7.04. Based on the regional scale exposure assessment, the multimedia distribution of Hydrocarbons, C18-C24, isoalkanes, <2% aromatics is 0.13% to air, 0.05 % to water, 5.45% to soil and 94% to sediment. Distribution modelling results are included in the 'Multimedia distribution modelling results' tab in the PETRORISK spreadsheet attached to IUCLID section 13.
