Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
EYES: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation occurs and persists, contact a doctor.
SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. If irritation occurs and persists, obtain medical attention.
INGESTION: Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting by touching the back of the throat with a finger or by giving syrup of ipecac. Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Contact a doctor.
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If breathing difficulty or discomfort occurs and persists, obtain medical attention.
NOTES TO DOCTOR:
Product has low oral, dermal and inhalation toxicity and is a mild irritant. Treatment is controlled removal of exposure
followed by symptomatic and supportive care.
Fire-fighting measures
FLAMMABLE LIMITS: Not applicable.
GENERAL HAZARD: No known physical hazard, non-combustible.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Dry chemical, CO2, water spray or regular foam.
SPECIAL FIRE-FIGHTING PROCEDURE: Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus approved for fire fighting. This is necessary to protect against the
hazard of heat, products of combustion and oxygen deficiency. Do not breathe smoke, gases or vapours generated.
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: None.
FLASH POINT: Not applicable.
AUTOIGNITION TEMPERATURE: Not applicable.
Accidental release measures
Sweep up and place in a suitable container.
Handling and storage
HANDLING:
Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.
Use with adequate ventilation.
Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.
Wash thoroughly after handling.
STORAGE:
Keep away from strong acids.
Keep container closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Use local exhaust ventilation to keep airborne concentrations below exposure limits.
PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT:
Respiratory: Wear a CEN Class P respirator approved for protection against inorganic dusts when adequate ventilation is not available.
Eyes: Safety glasses or goggles.
Gloves: Nitrile/Neoprene/PVC/Natural Rubber
(permeation breakthrough not detected during 6 hr test)
These glove recommendations should not be used as the absolute basis for glove selection. Actual in-use conditions may vary glove performance from the controlled conditions of laboratory tests. Factors such as concentration and temperature, glove
thickness and glove reuse, may affect performance. Other glove requirements, such as length, dexterity, cut, abrasion, puncture and snag resistance, or glove grip need to be considered in making your final selection.
Others: Quick-drench eyewash and safety shower.
Stability and reactivity
CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Contact with acids.
STABILITY: Stable.
POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION
PRODUCTS: None.
INCOMPATIBILE MATERIALS: Strong Acids.
Disposal considerations
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Dispose of waste according to local regulations.
