Administrative data
- Endpoint:
- bioaccumulation in aquatic species: fish
- Type of information:
- migrated information: read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
- Adequacy of study:
- weight of evidence
- Reliability:
- 2 (reliable with restrictions)
- Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
- other: see 'Remark'
- Remarks:
- This analogue substance was found through a quick and dirty search on similarity using the OECD QSAR toolbox. Estimated logPow values via KOWWIN v1.67 (EPIWEB 4.0) show very similar values above 10. Furthermore, physicochemical properties like melting point, boiling point and water solubility are very similar. Based on the points above and the fact that this analogue is probably worst case for bioconcentration than the registered substance (lower MW and therefore an expected higher bioavailability), it is deemed appropriate to use the bioconcentration data of this analogue to evaluate the bioaccumulation potential of the registered substance.

Any other information on results incl. tables
The data of physico-chemical properties like melting point, boiling point, density and water solubility were compared between the analogue and the registered substance. All values were very similar.
The estimated logPow value via KOWWIN v1.67 (EPIWEB 4.0) of the analogue is 13.98. This value is very similar to the estimation for the registered substance (13.28) and both can be deemed to be higher than 10.
The estimated value of BCF via BCFBAF v3.00 of the analogue was very comparable with the estimated value of the registered substance (see 5.3.1 QSAR).
Based on the points above and the fact that this analogue is probably worst case for bioconcentration than the registered substance (lower MW and thus expected higher bioavailability), it is deemed appropriate to use the bioconcentration data of this analogue to evaluate the bioaccumulation potential of the registered substance.
