First-aid measures
DESCRIPTION OF FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation -
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. Get medical attention.
Skin contact -
Wash immediately and thoroughly with water and remove contaminated clothing. Get medical attention.
Eye contact -
Wash with plenty of water, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical attention.
Ingestion -
If swallowed, wash out mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting without medical advice. Get medical attention.
MOST IMPORTANT SYMPTOMS AND EFFECTS, BOTH ACUTE AND DELAYED
May cause irritation in the exposed area. Overdose may cause constipation, confusion, dizziness, weakness, nervousness, low blood pressure and low pulse, difficulties to breath and unconsciousness.
INDICATION OF ANY IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION AND SPECIAL TREATMENT NEEDED
For medical treatment in case of overexposure, a recommende3d antidote would be naloxone.
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Suitable extinguishing media -
Use water spray, foam, fry powder or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media -
No limitations given for this substance.
SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE
In case of fire toxic fumes of carbon oxides (COx) or nitrogen oxides (NOx) may be emitted.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes. Prevent fire-extinguishing water from contaminating the watercourses.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTEVTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
If the product is released or spilt, take proper precautions by using appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid exposure (see section Exposure controls / Personal protection).
Do not breathe in dust. Ensure adequate ventilation.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Do not let the substance enter into drains.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP
Sweep up and place in suitable container for disposal. Dispose in accordance with regulations.
Handling and storage
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING
This substance is handled under Stricly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITES

Exposure controls / personal protection
CONTROL PARAMETERS
To the best of our knowledge, established occupational exposure limit value is not available for this substance. All handling should be done under Strictly Controlled Conditions.
EXPOSURE CONTROL
Appropriate engineering controls -
Use appropriate controls (e.g. containment, local exhaust ventilation) as specified in a workplace risk assessment. Technical measure and appropriate operations should be given priority over the use of personal protective equipment. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Personal protective equipment -
Eye face protection - Wear safety glasses with side shields. An emergency eyewash station should be available.
Skin protection - Handle with gloves. The selected gloves must comply with the specifications in EC Directive 89/686/EEC and the related standard EN374 or applicable fereral, state and national legislation.
Protective clothing - Use impervious, disposable clothing to prevent skin contact. The type should be selected accordning to concentrations, quantities and duration of handling at the specific workplace.
Respiratory protection - Use full mask with breathing filter. In laboratories, use fume hood or laminar flow booth.
Environmental exposure controls - Do not release into drains or watercourses.
Stability and reactivity
REACTIVITY
No known reactivity hazards under normal conditions.
CHEMICAL STABILITY
Stable under normal conditions.
POSSIBILITY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS AND CONDITIONS TO AVAOID
No known hazardous reactions when stored and handled as indicated.
INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS
Strong bases, strong acids and oxidizing agents.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITON PRODUCTS
Carbon oxides (COx) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
Disposal considerations
WASTE TREATMENT METHODS
Dispose waste at authorized plant, in accordance with Directive 2008/98/EC and/or applicable federal, state, national or local legislation.
