Type:
relative density
Density:
ca. 0.886
Temp.:
20 °C

Two determinations within validity criteria were performed and the mean density at 20.0 °C was calculated. This result was then converted to relative density towards water at 4 °C.

Results of the two determinations are reported in the following table

Table 1- Results:

MeasurementDetermination
12
Temperature (°C)20.020.0
Mass of the empty pycnometer (m0) (g)31.440531.6210
Mass of the pycnometer filled with ultrapure water (m2) (g)81.490381.6399
Mass of the pycnometer filled with the test item (m1) (g)75.857276.0027
Density of the test item (kg/m3)886.0885.8
Mean Density (kg/m3)885.9
Conclusions:
Under consideration of the results from measurements with pycnometer it was concluded that the density of the test item was determined to be 885.9kg/m3 at 20.0 +/- 0.1°C.
The relative density of the test item was determined to be D20/4 = 0.886

Executive summary:

The density of the test substance was measured under GLP according OECD 109 / EU A3 guideline, pycnometer method.

The density of the test item was determined to be 885.9 kg/m3 at 20.0 +/- 0.1°C (mean value of two independent determinations).
The relative density of the test item was determined to be D
20/4 = 0.886
