Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Details on results:
The detector calibration for the HPLC analysis was found to be linear over the range 0.03 to 3 mg/L
of standard solutions in acetonitrile:water (l:1 v/v) with a regression coefficient of 1.0000.
No peaks were observed in the chromatograms of the blank solutions indicating that the analytical
methods were free from interference.
The mean recoveries of fenbuconazole from the method verification samples were as follows:
n-octanol - 105%
pH 4 buffer solution - 91%
pH 7 buffer solution - 98%
pH 10 buffer solution - 101%
The results indicate that the analytical methods were accurate In the quantification of the test
substance in both n-octanol and water.
Conclusions:
The octanol/water partrtion coefficient of fenbuconazole was found to be 6120 ± 165 (Iog Pow = 3.79 ± 0.01) in pH 4 buffer solution, 6210 ± 185 (Iog Pow = 3.79 ± 0.01) in pH 7 buffer
solution, and 5730 ± 240 (Iog Pow= 3.76 ± 0.02) in pH 10 buffer solution at 20°C.

Description of key information

The octanol/water partition coefficient of fenbuconazole was found to be 6210 ± 185 (log Pow = 3.79 ± 0.01) in pH 7 buffer
solution in a guideline study performed in GLP-compliant laboratory (Turner, 2008).
