First-aid measures

1. Description of first aid measures

General: In case of doubt or persistent symptoms, consult always a physician. If possible show this sheet, if not available show packaging or label.

Inhalation:  Move to fresh air. Consult a physician.

Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing all contaminated       clothes and shoes. If the appearance of the exposed skin has changed or pain persists, medical treatment should be arranged.

Eye contact:       Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician immediately.

Protection of first-aiders:       A rescuer should war personal protective equipment, such as rubber gloves and air-tight googles.

2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

Not known.

Fire-fighting measures

1. Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: dry chemical, alcohol resitant foam, water spray, carbon dioxide.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Not known.

2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Fire hazard:       Combustible liquid.

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Carbon oxides (CO and CO2), Do not breathe fumes from fires or vapours from decomposition.

3. Advice for fire-fighters

Specific methods: Fire-extinguishing work is done from the windward and the suitable fire- extinguishing method according to the surrounding situation is used.  In case of a small fire in a confined area, movable containers should be promptly evacuated.   Uninvolved persons should evacuate to a safe place.   Immediately remove all sources of combustion.   Measures should be taken to contain the water- discharge for fire-fighting lest those substances which affect the environment should leak.

Special protective equipment for firefighters: When extinguishing fire, be sure to wear personal protective

equipment.

Accidental release measures

1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Use personal protective equipment.

Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Entry to non-involved personnel should be controlled around the leakage area by roping off, etc.  Avoid any direct contact with the product. Avoid inhalation of vapors.

Fire-extinguishing devices should be prepared in case of a fire.

Prevent product from entering drains.

Remove ignition sources. No open flames, no sparks, and no smoking.

Keep away from incompatible products.

2. Environmental precautions

Avoid release to the environment. Prevent product from entering drains.

3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Methods for cleaning up:       It should be collected with a suitable absorbent e.g. rag, dry sand, earth, sawdust, etc. If the product is solidified, sweep and collect it not to let the dust scatter, before recovering it into an airtight container. In case of large amount of outflow, prevent it by spreading earth on the ground. Adhered or collected material, etc. should be promptly disposed of, in accordance with appropriate laws and regulations.

Handling and storage

1. Precautions for safe handling

Precautions:       Ensure adequate air ventilation. Avoid breathing vapours. Avoid contact with skin. Wear personal protective equipment. Handle in a local exhaust unit to prevent dust and aerosol from being generated. Keep container closed when not in use. Keep away from ignition sources. Keep away from incompatible products. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.

Hygiene measures: Always wash hands and face immediately after handling this product, and once again before leaving the workplace. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices.

7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Technical measures: Handling is performed in a well ventilated place. Wear suitable protective equipment. Be careful not to cause leakage, overflow, or dispersion.  Steam should not be generated unnecessarily.  Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product.

Storage conditions:  Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Seal the container air-tight and store it in a cool dark place.  Keep it away from fire sources, such as fire or heat source.

Incompatible products: Store away from oxidizing agents.

Disposal considerations

Wear appropriate personal protective clothing. Disposal must be doing in accordance with local and national regulations.

If the substance is burned for disposal, it should be burned in a furnace equipped with an after-burner and a scrubber after diluting it with a combustible solvent.

Empty the contents thoroughly before disposing of a container.

If the substance is difficult to be disposed of, (e.g. by reason that there is no waste disposal facility), it should be committed to an authorized industrial waste processing agent.
