TREATMENT OF TEST MATERIAL PRIOR TO TESTING
- Treatment of test material prior to testing:
For the test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to shock, (with a BAM Fallhammer apparatus) and the test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to friction ( (BAM friction apparatus), the test item is sieved at 0.5 mm (fraction test used < 0.5 mm). For the test of thermal sensitivity (Koenen tube test), the test item is used as received.

Any other information on results incl. tables
Sensitiveness to impact: The sample of X300 was observed to exhibit no reaction at 40 J. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-)
Sensitiveness to friction: The sample of X300 was observed to exhibit no reaction at 360 N. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-)
Thermal sensitivity: The sample of X300 did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-)
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- The substance is considered has insensitive to heat, shock nor friction.
- Executive summary:
The explosiveness properties were determined by a serie of 3 tests according to the EU A.14 test guideline. The test of thermal sensitivity was performed with a Koenen tube in triplicate for each diameter orifice plate (6 mm and then 2 mm). The test item did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests. The test result is therefore considered negative. The test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to shock was performed on a test item sieved 0.5 mm prior to testing, using a BAM Fallhammer device and a series of 6 tests was performed dropping a 10 kg mass from 0.40 m (40 J). The test item exhibits no reaction at 40 J. The test result is therefore considered negative. The test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to friction was performed on a test item sieved 0.5 mm prior to testing, using a BAM friction device and a series of 6 tests was performed with a load of 360 N. The test item exhibits no reaction at 360 N. The test result is therefore considered negative. As a conclusion, The substance is considered has insensitive to heat, shock nor friction.
