Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Aquatic acute and chronic toxicity

48 h, EC50 Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna): 0.16 mg/L (nominal)

72 h, ErC50 Toxicity to algae and cyanobacteria (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): 0.023 mg/L (measured TWA)

72 h, ErC10 Toxicity to algae and cyanobacteria (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): 0.014 mg/L (measured TWA)

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was found to be not readily biodegradable. The most sensitive test for the aquatic compartment was algae test (OECD 201). This study revealed a 72h-ErC50 of 0.023 µg/L. Based on these results summarized above, the substance is classified for short-term aquatic toxicity category 1 (H400: Very toxic to aquatic life) and for long-term aquatic toxicity category 1 (H410: Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) as amended for the tenth time in Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/776. In addition, a M-factor for actue and chronic toxicity of 10 (0.01 < EC50 ≤ 0.1) and 1 ( 0.01 < NOEC ≤ 0.1) is proposed, respectively.
