Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
may be necessary. Consult a physician.
Skin contact: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash off with soap and water.
If skin irritation persists, call a physician.
Eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a
physician.
Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.
Notes to physician: Treat symptomically.
Fire-fighting measures
Unsuitable extinguishing media: water, foam.
Specific hazards: In fire conditions, toxic decomposition products may be formed. Rapid uncotnrolled polymerization may occur during a fire.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Further information: Isolate area. Evacuate personnel and keep upwind of fire. Cool containers/tanks with water spray. Shut off source of fuel, if possible and without risk.
Accidental release measures
Use appropriate PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT during clean-up.
Safeguards (Personnel) : Wear personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions : Prevent further leakage or spillage.
Spill Cleanup: Remove all sources of ignition. Soak up with inert absorbent material. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Wear personal protective equipment.
Accidental Release Measures : Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling (Physical Aspects) : Provide adequate precautions, such as electrical grounding, or inert atmospheres when material is used in the presence of flammable materials to prevent ignition.
Storage: Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Keep refrigerated. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. If frozen, thaw at room temperature between 15-30°C (59-86°F) and roll drum through several revolutions every 8-12 hours to redistribute inhibitor until completely thawed. Do not store for more than one(1) week at these temperatures. Consume monomer or return to refrigerated storage.
Storage temperature : 8 - 12 °C (46 - 54 °F)

Additional information
- Special provisions / remarks / other:
- Not regulated as a hazardous material by DOT. Discrepancies between hazard classification and transport classification(s) assessments are a result of differences in the regulatory texts.
Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment:
- Respiratory protection: Where there is potential for airborne exposures in excess of applicable limits, wear NIOSH approved respiratory protection.
-Hand protection: Material: Double layer gloves, polyvinylchloride/nitrile rubber. Permeation rate: 90 min
-Eye protection: Wear coverall chemical splash goggles and face shield when the possibility exists for eye and face contact due to splashing or spraying of material.
-Skin and body protection: Chemical-resistant boots. Complete suit protecting against chemicals.
-Protective measures: Eyewash facility and safety shower should be available.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid : Elevated temperature
Incompatible materials : Oxidizing agents Free radical sources, Iron, Copper, Bases, Strong acids
Hazardous decomposition products: Hazardous decomposition products: Acetic acid , Phenol, Carbon monoxide
Disposal considerations
Waste disposal methods - container: Do not reuse empty container. Dispose of container properly. Empty containers may contain hazardous residue.
