- The LD50 of the 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone, which is assessed as an acceptable surrogate for 4,4-dihydroxybenzophenone was reported to be 24.4 ml/kg in a study of 50 rats. The solution administered was 25% in corn oil. This substance has an s.g.of 1.274. The calculated LD50 is 7.77 g/kg for 100% substance.
