Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
fresh air. Keep persons calm. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give
oxygen. Call a physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty
of water for 15 minutes. Call a physician.
Emergency measure - Skin: In case of skin contact, flush with water for 15 minutes.
Get medical attention if irritation is present.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Consult a physician if necessary. Do not induce vomiting
because the hazard of aspirating the material into the lungs
is considered greater than swallowing it.
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: Under fire situation, this material may generate toxic gases
such as COx, HF-acids and perfluoro isobutylene.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear a self-contained breathing
apparatus and a protective suit.
Accidental release measures
equipment (refer to section 2.3.00) during clean up. Avoid
contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhalation. Ensure
adequate ventilation. Stay upwind.
Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water
or sanitary sewer system. If accidental spillage or washings
enter drains or watercourses contact local Environment
Agency.
Methods for cleaning up: Evacuate area. Take up with
absorbent material (e.g.sand, general-purpose binder).
Collect on absorbent material and transfer to steel drums
for recovery/disposal.
Disposal: In accordance with local and national regulations.
Must be incinerated in a suitable incineration plant
holding a permit delivered by the competent authorities. Do
not allow material to contaminate ground water system. Do
not contaminate surface water.
Handling and storage
Engineering measures: If possible work in closed systems.
Mechanical exhaust and/or local exhaust are necessary.
Ventilation equipment should be explosion prove if vapour or
fume are present. Eye wash and safety shower should be
bearby and ready for use.
Personal protective equipment:
- Respiratory protection: Respirator with P3 filters. Use
self-contained breathing apparatus if a large spill occurs.
- Eye protection: Tightly fitting chemical splash goggles
should be available.
- Hand protection: Suitable protective impervious gloves
should be used.
- Skin and body protection: Protective suit.
Hygiene measures: Wash hands and face before breaks and
immediately after handling the product. Keep away from food,
drink, and animal feeding stuffs. When using, do not eat,
drink, or smoke. Do not breathe dust.
Further information: Remove and wash contaminated clothing
and gloves, including the inside, before re-use.
Storage: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated
place at room temperature protected from light. Don't store
near heat, sparks or open flames. Store in a place
accessible by authorized persons only.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 20 kg steel pail cans, 300 kg steel drums.
