Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice : Immediate medical attention is required. Move out of dangerous area.
Inhalation : If breathed in, move person into fresh air. Consult a physician after significant exposure.
Skin contact : Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Remove any excess of product. Wash immediately with plenty of a solution of 2% acetic acid in water, then with soap and water to obtain a lather, rinse abundantly and copiously with water.
Eye contact : Get medical attention immediately. Wash open eyes immediately with plenty of water, then with a 0.5 % solution of acetic acid. Rinse abundantly and thoroughly for at least 15 minutes.Continue to rinse during transport. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye.
Ingestion : Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder extinguishers.
Specific hazards during fire fighting / Specific hazards arising from the chemical : Treat as oil fire. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses. Possible formation of carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides and hazardous organic compounds.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters : In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information : Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes.
Environmental precautions : Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.
Methods for cleaning up : Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Recovery : Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite).
Neutralisation : Wash the floor with copious quantities of water.
Elimination : Place in container for disposal according to local / national regulations
Handling and storage
Handling
Advice on safe handling : Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Persons with a history of skin sensitisation problems or asthma, allergies, chronic or recurrent respiratory disease should not be employed in any process in which this mixture is being used. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.
Technical measures/Precautions: Provide water supplies, ocular fountains and showers near the point of use. Provide a catch-tank in a bunded area
Wear impermeable insulated gloves when handling hot. Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion : Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Storage
Requirements for storage areas and containers : Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. To maintain product quality, do not store in heat or direct sunlight.
Other data : No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Packaging material
Recommended : Metallic drums.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Components with workplace control parameters
Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.
Engineering Controls
Provide eyewash station and safety shower. Keep solutions of 0.5% acetic acid in water close at hand. Effective exhaust ventilation system.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection : In the case of vapour formation use a respirator with an approved filter. Wear full face mask supplied with: Combination filter ABEKP.
Hand protection : butyl-rubber
Eye protection : Eye wash bottle with pure water. Tightly fitting safety goggles
Skin and body protection : Protective suit Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. When using do not eat or drink.
When using do not smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
Environmental exposure controls
General advice : Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.
Stability and reactivity
Hazardous decomposition products : Possible formation of carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides and hazardous organic compounds.
Chemical stability and Hazardous reactions: Stable under normal conditions.
Materials to avoid : Powerful oxidants, strong acids and organohalogenated compounds.
Disposal considerations
Product : The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with
chemical or used container. Hazardous waste.
Contaminated packaging : Empty remaining contents. Dispose of as unused product. Do not re-use empty containers.
