Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: Strong water jet.

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In case of fire, the product may emit toxic and/or irritating fumes.

Supposed thermal decomposition/oxidation: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Possible explosive mixtures (vapors heavier than air).

Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.

Further information: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Cool containers /tanks with water spray. Avoid rejection of extinguishing water in the environment

Environmental precautions: Avoid any spreading of product.

Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Sweep and shovel the solid product in a container adapted for its recovery or destroying (avoiding dust formation). Close and label rigorously.

Cleaning of contaminated zone: After taking up the product, rinse the polluted area with water.

Elimination of recovered materials: Deliver to Environmental service of the factory or to any specialized and approved disposal service.

Additional information: Evacuation of area and intervention of special services recommended.
