Decomposition:
no
Sublimation:
no
Remarks on result:
other: pressure was not specified, but is assumed to be nominal atmospheric pressure.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The melting point determination was performed in triplicate, using a Buechi melting point apparatus. The melting process started at 314.1K (40.9 deg C) and ended at 314.6K (41.4 deg C). During the melting process the test substance changed from a yellow jelly-like substance into a yellow liquid. After cooling, the test substance changed back to a yellow jelly-like substance.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test substance has a melting range of 40.9 to 41.4 deg C at atmospheric pressure.
Executive summary:

The melting point or melting range of the test substance was determined using the capillary method. A small amount of finely ground test substance was charged in a capillary tube. The tube was heated in a liquid bath together with a thermometer and the temperature rise was adjusted to less than about 1 K/min during the actual melting. The initial and final melting temperatures were determined by triplicate runs to be 40.9 - 41.4 deg C.
